Building a Model of Sustainability

PULS operates from a mobile lab that is committed to being a model of sustainability. The lab is an up-cycled shipping container that is powered 100% by solar energy. Much of the equipment and supplies have been donated by community members and schools. For each module, we focus on using supplies that are plastic-free, reusable, and that can be recycled into other lesson plans, whenever possible.

There are many people and businesses to thank who helped build this lab, thereby turning a vision into reality. It really starts with A Container Storage Co Of Hawaii Ltd because without them there would be no upcycled shipping container converted into a mobile lab. Next we have RevoluSun, which donated a photo-voltaic system and the man-power to install the panels and Tesla Powerwall via a business-organized community service day. We also need to recognize Tropical J's which kindly helped out with an awning so the students can learn comfortably in the shade. Many thanks to community volunteers who helped assemble much of the equipment.
