Our mission is to bridge STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts+design, and mathematics) and sustainable learning to help youth discover their potential in the field while inspiring commitment to protect our Earth among the next generation.

PULS is committed to building a lab that can be a model of sustainability. The lab is an up-cycled shipping container that is powered 100% by solar energy. Much of the equipment and supplies have been donated by community members and schools. For each module, we focus on using supplies that are plastic-free, reusable, and that can be recycled into other lesson plans, whenever possible.

The Lab "pops-up" at schools, youth organizations, and public areas and stays for extended periods of time to enable students to dig deep in STEAM and sustainable learning.

  • Open to boys and girl in grades k-12

  • Variety of in and out-of-schools programs

  • Mentored by trained staff and core volunteers

  • Pops-up in any community

Thank you, RevoluSun, who donated photovoltaic (PV) panels and hosted a community service day for its employees to install the panels and the Tesla Powerwall. Due to this donation, PULS will be able to function off the grid.

We launched the Lab! First stop, Nanakuli Elementary. We are so excited to be working with Ms. Hashima's 4th grade class. This month is all about Making Waves.

Where are we popping up this 2019-20 academic year?

What's New this Month?

We have many to thank, including individuals and entities who have  provided funding and in-kind donations and services, as well as the host lab sites.
